Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use Rihla ("Rihla", "we", "us"), the community travel app for iOS and Android, and this website. By using Rihla you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Questions: ademth11@gmail.com.
1. What Rihla is
Rihla lets people publish day-by-day travel programs and lets others discover, vote on, save, discuss, review and copy them. Programs are written by community members, not by Rihla.
2. Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity on your Rihla account and for keeping your Google account secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to use online services without parental consent.
- Choose a username that doesn't impersonate anyone or mislead others.
- You can stop using Rihla at any time and ask us to delete your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Your content
You own the programs, photos, comments, reviews and other content you post. By publishing content in Rihla, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it within the app and its related services, so the app can work. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other users already made under the remix feature described below.
Remixing: when you publish a program, other users can copy it into their own drafts, change it and publish their version. Rihla shows the original creator on remixed programs. By publishing, you allow other users to do this.
You confirm that you have the right to post your content, including any photos, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
4. Rules for using Rihla
Don't use Rihla to:
- post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or that endangers others;
- post other people's personal information, or photos of people who haven't agreed to it;
- post spam, scams, misleading information or undisclosed advertising;
- copy content you don't have rights to;
- manipulate votes or reviews, for example with multiple accounts;
- try to access other users' data or private drafts, disrupt the service, or scrape it at scale.
You can report content in the app. We may remove content or suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
5. Travel information is a guide, not a guarantee
Programs, routes, times, prices, opening hours, entry rules and safety information come from other users and may be wrong or out of date. Always check important details with official sources before you travel, and use your own judgement. Rihla is not a travel agency and doesn't book or sell travel.
6. Third-party services
Rihla uses Google for sign-in, Supabase to store data, and OpenStreetMap for maps and place search, and can open Apple Maps, Google Maps or external links. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
7. Availability and changes
Rihla is provided free of charge. We may change, pause or stop features or the service at any time. We'll try to give notice of major changes, but we don't guarantee that Rihla will always be available or error-free.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Rihla is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for content posted by users, or for anything that happens during travel planned with Rihla. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Rihla and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. If you keep using Rihla after changes take effect, you accept the new terms.
